Guidance for Entrants
Nominating your colleague or team for a Regulatory Affairs Award is straightforward. Before you begin please read this document carefully along with Notes on the Judging Criteria and the Rules of Entry.
Pay careful attention to the criteria of the Award in which you are nominating your colleague, team or company. Remember the Judges will ‘mark’ the entries they receive in accordance with pre-determined criteria (see the Notes on the Judging Criteria). They will only be able to allocate marks according to the evidence supplied with the entry, so please ensure that any statements made about the nominee are backed up with examples or evidence to support any assertions made.
Please ensure that the supporting information you are providing for the nomination is relevant to the entry so that the Judges can readily assess the nomination and evidence against the given criteria.
Check that you have all the information you need when you are ready to start completing the nomination form. For example, do you have the nominee’s CV if it is required?
Then all you need to do is complete the nomination form. Please ensure that you complete all the contact details accurately in case the TOPRA Awards team needs to contact the nominator or nominee. Please ensure that the nominee knows that you have entered them for the Award and that they have consented to the nomination being made.
You will need to complete at 250-word summary of why the nominee would be a worthy recipient of the award on the nomination. Remember that this information may be used in publications and promotions related to this event. Therefore do not include any information that might be commercially sensitive or confidential in this summary. However, the supporting information for the nomination will be regarded as confidential by both TOPRA and the Judging Panel.
Completed entry forms and supporting documentation should be submitted via this website, emailed to awards@topra.org or faxed to +44 (0)20 7537 2003.
If you have any questions about the submission procedure or completing the paperwork for your entry, or require further details, email awards@topra.org
or call +44 (0)20 7510 2560.
The closing date for entries is 22 June 2012
The marks for entries will not be disclosed and will be collated centrally to determine the winning entry. In the case of a tie the President of TOPRA will be asked to make the casting vote. The decision reached by the Judges will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Shortlisted candidates will be notified a few weeks before the Awards Ceremony, but the final results will not be announced until the actual Ceremony on 28 November 2012.
