TOPRA Announces Judging panel for Regulatory Affairs Awards
The MHRA CEO, Kent Woods, Director General of EFPIA, Brian Ager, and Head of Patient Protection with EMA, Noёl Wathion, are among the distinguished, international judging panel for the first TOPRA Regulatory Awards announced today .
Open for entries until Friday, 28 May 2010, the Awards will exclusively celebrate achievements in regulatory affairs by professionals world-wide who make a significant contribution to the delivery of safe and effective medical therapies to the marketplace.
“This panel lends integrity and kudos to our first Awards programme,” comments Lynda Wight, executive director, TOPRA.
“It strongly signals to industry and prospective entrants the value of this awards programme both for individuals and organisations and acts as a marker for the importance of the regulatory affairs profession generally” she explains.
Five different Award categories aim to ensure people in all stages of their career and in all sectors of healthcare regulation can receive recognition. The categories are: Innovation, Inspiration, Support, Horizon and Achievement. Judges are allocated to awards based on their area of expertise and there will be at least five judges considering each award. The opinion of all judges will be sought for the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The TOPRA Regulatory Awards will be announced at a gala dinner and Awards ceremony at the TOPRA Annual Symposium on Tuesday, 5 October 2010, at London’s Hilton, Park Lane.
